The heartbeat of St. Augustine’s
What makes St. Augustine’s tick?
The celebration of the Mass, Sunday by Sunday at 10am.
Jesus took bread and wine, and told his disciples to eat and drink to remember him. Christians worldwide do that still.
You can read about this here. Christians often believe different things about the Mass, and have different names for it. At St. Augustine’s the dignified style points to a belief that Jesus is really and truly with us in the bread and wine, and as we read in the Bible.
Sundays at 10am with hymns and music, for about an hour.
Wednesday at 10am and Saturdays at 12 noon, a quiet thirty minute service.
There are different ways of participating in the Mass. Some read lessons, lead the Prayers of Intercessions, and others serve as you can see in the photo.
